Koodo not working? Try this
Koodo provides mobile service on the Telus network.
Find out whether Koodo knows about an outage at your address
- Sign in to the Koodo Self Serve app on mobile data. Known outages for your address are shown on the first screen.
- Look at the report chart on this page. A sudden jump in the last hour means other Koodo customers are affected too.
- Koodo runs on the Telus network, so also check the Telus page linked under "Check a related service".
No signal or no data on Koodo
- Switch airplane mode on for 10 seconds and off again. This forces the phone to register with the network from scratch.
- Restart the phone. If it shows "SOS" or "Emergency calls only", the SIM is not being accepted by the network.
- Calls work but data does not? Open Settings, turn mobile data off and on, and check the APN matches the one in Koodo's help pages.
- Koodo uses Telus's masts. If Telus has an outage in your area, Koodo will be down as well and resetting your phone will not help.
- Take the SIM out, wipe it and reseat it, or toggle the eSIM off and on in Settings.
Work out whether it is the internet or just your Wi-Fi
- Try a different app or website. If only one app fails, that app is down, not your provider.
- Test more than one device. One failing device points to that device.
- Turn off any VPN and try again.

Koodo outage questions
Is Koodo down right now?
The status at the top of this page is updated every few minutes from automated checks of Koodo's systems and from visitor reports. Our checks reach Koodo's website and sign-in servers, so a local line or mast fault in one neighbourhood shows up first in the report chart rather than in the checks.
How do I check for a Koodo outage in my area?
Use the Koodo Self Serve app, which shows faults for your own address or postcode. Then compare with the reports on this page to see whether other customers are affected.
Which network does Koodo use?
Koodo runs on the Telus network. When Telus has a fault, Koodo customers in the same area lose service as well.
What can I do if Koodo will not credit an outage?
Ask Koodo for a credit for the time you were without service. If you cannot settle it with them, the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS) handles complaints about Canadian providers free of charge.
How long do Koodo outages usually last?
Most faults are cleared within a few hours. Damage to cables from storms or construction can take a day or more, because a crew has to repair the line by hand.
