About SignalDip
SignalDip answers one question quickly: is the service you are trying to use having problems right now, or is it just you?
How the status is worked out
Our monitoring service contacts each listed service from the cloud every few minutes and records whether it answered and how long it took. Where a company publishes an official status feed, we read that too. Visitors can also report a problem with one tap. The status at the top of each page combines those three signals:
- Up: our checks pass and nothing unusual is being reported.
- Possible issues: one signal looks wrong, such as a slow or failed check, an official notice, or a jump in reports.
- Likely outage: several signals agree, or checks have failed repeatedly.
Each status carries a confidence level so you can see how much evidence is behind it. A passing check from our side cannot prove that every feature works for every person, which is why reports and official notices are part of the picture.
What we check
Only services on our curated list are checked. Our monitor identifies itself as SignalDipBot and makes a small number of ordinary page requests. If you run a listed service and want the frequency changed, write to hello@signaldip.com.
Independence
SignalDip is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the companies or agencies listed. Names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the service being checked.
